Graeme & Paula purchased their home in 2012. The apartment was their family home for 10 years and now that the kids had moved, they were looking for a lifestyle change.
The PROCESS
Graeme & Paula chose to auction the apartment with Luke and the team at Ray White, as getting the best price in the market was the most important consideration. A considered marketing campaign was decided on to ensure all possible buyers were at the auction in 4 weeks time. The marketing included realestate.com.au and domain to target the interstate buyer, along with a video & social media campaign.
The RESULT
Following a four week auction campaign, 56 groups of buyer inspections and 5 offers, the inroom auction featured 9 bidders. The underbidder Mark, owned in the same complex and saw the property on his social media feed and inspected the property. Mark was looking to upsize and saw value in the complex & building more specifically. Mark pushed the buyers, Fiona & Marcus who only inspected the night before the auction, to ultimately pay $1,850,000.
